Trip 1 – Yosemite National Park

When I decided to start my virtual voyage it was to check out the places I have never been to and would have loved at least a short visit, but there is one place which I would never get tired of no matter how many revisits I make. This place has had made such an impact and I decided to start my visit here before exploring others.
Yosemite National Park – California, USA

Yosemite is the treasure box of an artist which has been found and preserved for mankind to enjoy its alpine meadows, stunning waterfalls, iconic mountains and rock formations and forests filled with awe-inspiring trees and beautiful landscapes.
Best attractions of this park include the Half Dome and the El Capitan (Rock climbers’ ultimate dream) and the three cascades of Yosemite Falls, one of the highest waterfalls in the world (drop a total of 2,425feet). The beautiful Bridal Veil Falls are aptly named and when one stands near the bottom of this fall the mist and droplets which fall over you is so refreshing.
The best overview of the valley can be seen from Glacier Point. This view is breathtaking. You see the entire valley from this point in its highest glory with its high mountains and forests and water running through it.
Yosemite is very popular among hikers too. One of the most popular areas of the valley is Mariposa Grove, where giant sequoias reach the sky. One can go rock climbing, skiing, snowboarding, fishing, rafting, bird watching etc.
The best part of our trip was the guided tour along the Half Dome, El Capitan, and Glacier Point. I just wish we had a chance to have gone on full moon tour.
